Fire:

It is combination of heat, fuel and oxygen which produces smoke, heat, flames and poisonous gases.
Absence of any one of heat, fuel and oxygen will not lead the fire exist.

Types of fire:

1. Wanted fire: It is needed to lit gas range, stove etc.
2. Unwanted fire: It is caused by intentionally & accidentally.

Fire Safety Measures:-

1. Don’t throw live cigarette butts.
2. Don’t put multi plug in one socket.
3. Don’t over cook cooking oil.
4. Don’t join two electric wires without insulation.
5. Table lamp shade should not touch the bulb.
6. Clothes should not be dried over bulb.
7. Don’t keep combustible material near electric current or junction and store it carefully.
8. Don’t keep electric wires underneath the carpet.
9. Check LPG Gas cylinder tubes for cracks.
10. Don’t block emergency exits.
11. Kitchen hoods should be cleaned regularly.
12. In the laundry, lint collection pan should be cleaned regularly.
13. Casual workers should be supervised in high risk areas.
14. Moving parts of machines should be lubricated.
15. Don’t smoke in risky areas like the Gas Bank, Boiler Room etc.
