Food & Beverage Service Lab


The basic techniques of the food service are inculcated in this area with all the modern amenities available here. It intends to acquaint students with the intrigues of the restaurant service and the standards.

The two training restaurants enable the student to learn various aspects of food and beverage service including table setting, order taking and serving.
Hands-on-experience is gained in food and beverage service in a practical scenario at the JPIHM.
The techniques of serving food, wines, cocktails, mocktails and spirits in restaurant helps the students to learn the various standards of service at par with the industry. They are here taught the same and also about the specific style of services done in different cuisines and beverages.
Training Bar @ JPIHM is a platform where students get the thorough knowledge of the Bar Operations. Here the students are geared to face the luxurious aura of the actual bar in a five star hotel. Right from the explanation about the requirements of service to storage of beverages, every possible input is provided to the students to meet the Indian and International standards. Wines, liquors, liqueurs, beer, cocktails and mocktails, accompaniments and the garnishes are taught by the experienced faculty to enhance the skills of the students. Different beverage bottles from across the globe are collected and placed at the bar to provide a sheer awareness about the product and its specifications. Various glasses, bar equipments and a combination of wood & glass enhances the complete architecture and gives an actual feel of the luxurious bar or a star catagory hotel. For a student Training Bar @ JPIHM is an approach to get an in-depth knowledge about the various beverages served in the industry. Students are now acquainted with the new trends in the bar like flair bartending, in order to cope up with the competition and the demand of the hotel industry. With a definitive knowledge and interest in bar, one can be a Sommelier, Cigar Connoisseur, Mixologist etc.
